Jewish Ghetto and Venetian Legends
A tour to discover the oldest Jewish ghetto in the world, from which the word “ghetto” itself derives. A walk in what is still a small center of Jewish life, with its synagogues, its tall buildings and kosher restaurants. The tour will then continue in the Cannaregio district, far from the classic tourist itineraries where it is still possible to admire enchanting glimpses of daily life: houses with clothes hanging out to dry from the windows, children playing football in the fields and ladies shopping in the small shops in the area.

Legendary Venice
Dive into the history of Venice with this tour that includes a visit to two of the city’s most iconic sites. The first stop is the legendary Basilica di San Marco, where you can stroll among 8,000 square meters of mosaics and Byzantine treasures. The tour then continues to Palazzo Ducale, home of the Doge and the ancient political heart of Venice, where you can immerse yourself in the history of the Serenissima and discover its evolution into a maritime power.

Venice in “red light”
Come and discover the oldest example of a neighborhood dedicated to courtesans, a stone’s throw from the famous Rialto Bridge. Few people know that some streets, with strange toponymy, recall an area that the Serenissima had designated as a red-light district to regulate and limit a constantly increasing phenomenon. In fact, during the Renaissance, Venice with its courtesans was the true capital of pleasure, reaching a census of more than 11 thousand prostitutes in 1500. A tour in which to discover the other side of the Rialto area known to most only for its market and its numerous taverns.

In the footsteps of Casanova to discover the Venetian casino
Giacomo Casanova is one of the most emblematic and legendary figures of Venice, there are many places that he frequented in the city that are still present, from his birthplace to the palace of his great friend and poet Giorgio Baffo, to the casino where he met with his most famous lover called in his book M.M., up to the prisons of Palazzo Ducale, where his daring escape from the lead took place. Our itinerary in the footsteps of Casanova will then go into a place where Casanova loved to challenge fate, a weakness he also talks about in his memoirs… that for the casino or rosso. In this regard we will visit the rosso of San Moisè, the oldest gambling house in the world, which we could also define as Casanova’s second home. In fact, he spent a lot of his time here and often incurred gambling debts, most of the time repaid thanks to his skills as a seducer. An opportunity to take a dip back in time and savour for a moment the dissolute life of eighteenth-century Venice.

Legends of the Red Stones
There are stones that must be touched because they bring good luck and others that absolutely must not be stepped on, in this tour you can discover where they are and what stories they tell by crossing one of the most authentic areas of the city, that of the Castello district, where many Venetians still live who go shopping with a trolley in the shops or to drink an ombre in the local taverns.

The hidden treasures of Venice
Through narrow and winding “calli” (streets) we will reach a palace unknown to most with its spiral staircase called “del Bovolo” from the top of which you can enjoy a breathtaking view of Piazza San Marco, we will then continue with the visit of a unique bookshop where to deal with the problem of high water the eccentric owner has found a very creative system thus creating a unique environment. This and many other surprises await you on this tour…
These tours can also be done as “bacari-tours” or with stops in 2/3 selected bacari, depending on the route, among the most typical where you can taste “ombre and cicchetti”. The duration of the tours is about 2 hours.
