Our story
Melloni Street is managed by Laura and Michele, who have
realized their project to offer their guests a welcoming place where they
can meet and know people and cultures from all over the world. Their idea
is to make everyone who stays in Melloni Street feel at home, in an atmosphere
which valorizes the well-being of the individual and of the environment;
that is why it is important for us to offer an organic breakfast and use
renewable energy both to warm water and for the electric
light.
At the same time, the B&B Melloni Street offers travellers
who stay here by reason of job, research, didactical reasons or simply
for visiting, the possibility to use a fast wireless Internet access.
Melloni Street is a B&B, located in Dolo, a few kilometres
far from Venice, and it is elegant, comfortable and within everybody’s
reach. Our aim is to cater from the arrival to the departure for every
need of our guests with kindness and competence and in an absolutely friendly
atmosphere.
The Bed and Breakfast Melloni Street was originally a building, which
was built according to the style of the first years of 20th century and
then restructured to provide it with modern comforts. It is situated in
the heart of the “Riviera del Brenta”, at a short distance
away from the town centres of Venice and Padua.
It is far about 50 metres from the river “Naviglio del Brenta”,
a fluvial path which crosses a charming territory, with plenty of villas
of the 17th and 18th century, some of them you can visit. In Stra there
is the wonderful Villa Pisani, while you can see Villa Malcontenta, one
of the most famous villas designed by Andrea Palladio, in the small town
of Malcontenta, near the small town of Oriago in Mira.
The B&B Melloni Street is in an ideal location, in a quiet and beautiful
area, even a few kilometres far from the main artistic sites.
From the B&B you can easily reach restaurants and typical
“trattorias” of the Riviera. In the surroundings, you can
visit many other small towns, such as Mirano, Noale, Piove di Sacco, which
are rich in history and where you can find typical products of the Venetian
cuisine.
Far 800 metres from the B&B there is the bus stop. The service of
buses connects Dolo to the town centres of Venice and Padua.
